Family Christmas

Our family (Justin, me, Jordan, Rylie...oh, and David) celebrated Christmas together Christmas Eve morning and exchanged presents with each other. Justin got me a new wedding band:) I got Justin a new drum. Jordan got a new play kitchen that she absolutely loves! And Rylie got her first Bible!

Jordan put her doggies in time-out. She told them to sit (and she sat them on their bottoms) and said they were in time out for "obeying!" I'm pretty sure she means disobeying:)

Growing Up

Jordan has started saying adult phrases lately. For example, yesterday she told me, "Good job, Mommy," after I finished brushing her teeth. She often tells me "good job" when I complete a task. One day this week I brought the girls back to my classroom after school because I needed to get a few things done. Jordan enjoys spending her time eating my candy/snacks and getting into all my drawers. Once in the drawers, though, she spilled a cup with strips of paper all over the floor. I said, "Jordan, you need to pick all those up and put them back in the cup." She bent down to pick one up, looked around at the scattered paper and said, "Oh, my goodness!" I can't wait to hear more toddler talk!

Jordan helped decorate the tree this year. She got super-excited to find these giant "necklaces" in the box!

An arranged marriage!

Rylie and Lincoln were both born this summer. We love Lincoln's parents and we often joke (but we're really serious:) that they're going to get married someday.

Trick or Treating at Justin's School

Justin's school does a Trunk or Treat night and I took Jordan and Rylie to it. We went around to all the "trunks" that are decorated with a halloween theme and got candy. Jordan was so cute holding up her bucket to all the people.

Jordan and Rylie got to come Trick or Treating in my classroom yesterday with all their daycare friends. By the way, does anyone know why the pictures don't look like very good quality when I post them? They are actually much better quality in my photo library.

Jordan's first bad dream

At least the first bad dream that she could communicate about.

I woke up around 3:45 last night to Jordan screaming. When I got to her, she held her hands out and said, "Hold you, hold you" and then began saying, "Opent (elephant)." I asked her if she had a dream about elephants and she said yes. After rocking, I tried to put her back to bed and she looked all around and held her hands up asking, "Opent?" (like, where's the elephant?) I told her the elephant was all gone, so she agreed and said, "opent all gone." So I tucked her back into bed, but she quickly got scared again and called for me. So, when I went back into her room, she kept saying that she wanted to sleep with me. I turned the light on and showed her there were no elephants, but she was still so scared she was actually trembling, so I let her sleep in bed with Justin and I. We laid down and she wrapped her arms tightly around my neck and said, "hold you," and then she fell asleep with her face smashed up against mine. Poor girl!

Iowa

I'm just testing to see how pictures will upload using my new updated software program on my computer. It's working nicely. I took these pictures in Iowa over Clio Festival weekend.

I doctored the purple flowers to see what my computer could do. These flowers are from Mom's garden.

Birthday at the zoo!

Jordan celebrated part of her birthday at the zoo with family and friends. In the picture below, Jordan is trying to feed a giraffe. My mom bought all the kids a chance to feed the giraffes, but I was a bit upset that they only gave hay to feed them. Hay...they can eat hay whenever they want...of course they're not going to come eat hay from our hands!

Jordan is 2!

My computer won't hold anymore pictures!  So, if I can figure it out, I'll post some pictures of Jordan's 2nd birthday soon.  Her birthday was August 24th.  Jordan is such a special little girl!  God has really blessed us with our sweet, beautiful girl and we pray that her life will be lived for His Glory!  Here's a little bit of what Jordan is like at 2 years old:

She is SO proud to be Rylie's big sister.  She shares her toys and gives Rylie lots of hugs and kisses.  

She is still Daddy's girl.  She also has a lot of men in her life that she has wrapped around her finger.  David, Matt, TJ, Uncle Rick, Uncle Brock, Terry, and Tyler, just to name a few.  She warms up to men so much faster than women.  

Jordan is becoming more shy, but still is a people person.  

Is learning to go potty on the toilet.  She wears big girl underwear during the day at day care.

Justin says she has OCD, but it's likely just her age.  Everything has to be done just right, and if it's not, she freaks out.  For example, when we walk through the halls at school on the way to day care, I HAVE to go through the left side doors and she HAS to go through the right side doors.  If it doesn't happen like that, she gets very upset.  

Animals FREAK her OUT!  She screams and cries if a dog gets close to her.  However, she has warmed up to cats and bunnies and is willing to pet them.

LOVES to dance, and she's good at it!  She also loves to sing!

Finally has some teeth!  

For a two year old, she does very good at obeying Mommy and Daddy, but still has a problem with whining and crying if something doesn't go her way.  Time in her room helps with this issue!

Says "I love you" so sweetly.  

Her Bible is her absolute favorite book!  We read it all the time and she insists on sleeping with it.  "Bible bed, Bible bed" is what she says.  It's so cute to see her cuddled up with it.  

It's about time!

I have not posted anything for SOOOO LONG!  A lot has happened since the last post.  May was such a busy month!  Justin came home from Iraq on Thursday, May 21st and I started labor with Rylie early Saturday morning, the 23rd.  Our friend, Felicia, baby sat Jordan while Justin and I went out on a date, and the whole time I was having contractions!  Rylie Dawson Moody was born early Sunday morning, May 24th at 2:39 am.  She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz.
