Meaning in a Name
God has really been teaching Justin and I a lot over the course of this deployment. Justin has been faithful to memorize several verses of scripture, and one that God has used in both our lives is Philippians 1:20: "I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death." We are convinced that our lives are not meant to be lived settled and comfortable, but that we have, and will be, called to suffer for His Glory. We want that to be the desire of our hearts. We pray earnestly that we will have "sufficient courage" to live (or die) how God leads us. We also pray that same courage for our children, which leads to the name we plan to give our new little girl...Rylie Dawson. Rylie means "valiant" (possessing sufficient courage). Dawson is after Dawson Trottman, a man Justin recently read a book about. The way he lived his life has inspired Justin in the way he wants to live. I have not read the book, so Justin will have to fill you in more on "Dawson."

Funny
Jordan loves putting anything on...shoes, socks, hats, pants, shirts...and these bloomers that go with a dress I got for her baby sister. She was playing in her room for a long time, and then came out looking so proud with these on her head. I'm not sure if she was trying to be funny, or if she really thought that they go on her head! Either way, it was way too cute!

Check Up
Jordan had her 18 month check up today. She is below average in height and weight, but in the 90th percentile in head circumference. Go figure! Wonder where she got that big head!?
Running in a Race
Justin ran a race at the base on Tuesday. This picture is on this website http://www.balad.afcent.af.mil/news/story.asp?storyID=123140056. See if you can find him! He's only the manliest man out there!

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with Justin's family. Here are just a few pictures.
Jordan's cousin Madison got some new make up and nail polish for Christmas, so she tried them out on Jordan. Here, she's painting little toenails...Jordan just sat there letting her do her toes the whole time.Looks like she's pleased with the results! Her cousin Cayden got a new "ATV" and pulled Jordan around the house for a long time.

My sister-in-law Shari is going to have a baby too! I'm sure her belly is much bigger now, but isn't that a cute baby bump?
Jordan's cousin Jessica (and her sister, Beth) love to carry Jordan around.
Jordan's twin cousin, Hunter!
Three one-year-old cousins wanting the same book. They were so tiny last year! There's an earlier post of them together last thanksgiving.
